Today Roskomnadzor on
its page on the social network Vkontakte decided to remind users that the agency is the authorized body for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects. Initially, it was a survey, and during the voting it turned out that the majority of readers did not know about it, or simply did not understand what it was about.
A few hours later, the agency posted in the same
account information about how the creation of the body itself is related to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
According to Wikipedia, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a recommended document for all UN member countries adopted at the third session of the UN General Assembly by resolution 217 A (III) (“International Covenant on Human Rights”) of December 10, 1948. The document consists of 30 articles and is part of the International Bill of Human Rights, along with the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, two Optional Protocols.
