The representative of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky said that the department is ready to exclude "Roskomsvoboda" from the registry of prohibited sites,
writes the BBC. "Roskomsvoboda" removed the advertising of anonymizing and encrypting traffic as a way to circumvent the law - that is, the information that is recognized by the court as unlawful, "said Ampelonsky.
True, there is one condition - the deleted information should not reappear on the resource. “We will keep the Roscomsvoboda website up to expiration of the decision to block, that is, until Friday evening. If the illegal information does not appear on it again, then we will put a resource on exclusion from the registry, ”the department’s spokesman added. At the time of publication of this material, the “illegal” materials, which Ampelonsky spoke about, did not appear on the Roskomvoboda website, so we can speak of a high probability of excluding a resource from the list of prohibited sites.
As previously
reported at Geektimes, the head of the Roskomsvoboda website, Artem Kozlyuk, said it was possible to block a resource in Russia. The site administration was notified that the project was included in the unified register of prohibited Internet resources. The reason is information posted on the portal about how to bypass blocking on the Internet, as well as information about anonymizers. The decision on the illegality of the information posted on Roskomsvoboda was made by the Anapa court in April 2015.
At the same time, the situation looks rather strange, since representatives of Roskomnadzor had previously stated that bypassing website blocking does not contradict legislation. This oddity aggravated a day later, when a spokesman for the ministry announced that Roskomnadzor supported the idea of blocking Roskomsvoboda. “We see the desire of a certain group of Internet activists to advertise anonymizers as a means of circumventing blockages. In fact, users are told: the law can be not enforced, and we will tell you how, ”he commented on the situation.

Now, it seems, the resource managed to avoid blocking, but it is unclear how things will be in the future, not only with Roskomvoboda but other sites that have decided to publish information about ways to circumvent site blockages in the Russian Federation.
