All ground public transport in Moscow equip Wi-Fi until the end of the year

The general director of Mosgortrans, Yevgeny Mikhailov, today announced that by the end of 2016 all buses, trolleybuses and trams of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans will be equipped with free wireless Internet access, Interfax reports.

Mikhailov claims that 15-20 users of public transport passengers will be able to connect to one access point. “I’m saying that until the end of the year all routes will be equipped with free Wi-Fi,” he stressed.

According to the official, the first routes will be equipped accordingly in February, and it will take some time to test and configure the installed systems.

As for the metro, since January of this year, free Internet has earned in trains on all lines. The data transfer rate exceeds 100 Mb / s, according to the official portal of the mayor and the government of the capital . To connect to an access point, you must select the desired network in the settings, and enter a request in the browser. After that, you will need to go through an identification procedure, including the receipt of a verification message.
