Photo: hi-tech.mail.ruAccording to representatives of the Pirate Party, the initiators of blocking Rutracker in Russia, trying to protect the rights of some authors, violate the rights of thousands of others,
writes PCN. Lawyer Sarkis Darbinyan argues that not all rights holders will benefit from the decision to block the resource.
“At the same Rutracker, they freely publish their works, their own content, thousands of other copyright holders, authors. Therefore, in this case, individual rightholders, protecting their rights, violate the rights of thousands of other authors. With Rutracker blocking, users, readers, listeners, it turns out, will be limited in access to those works that are distributed in a free form on the same Rutracker, ”the lawyer explained.
According to him, the Pirate Party has an alternative solution to the problems and issues of copyright.

“We believe that in this case, copyright holders should pay attention not to some regressive policy, but to the policy of a mature copyright reform in our digital age. We have already put
forward the theses of the reform, as we see it, launched the campaign “Time to change copyright”
changecopyright.ru . where they substantiated the main points, in which we see a fair picture of the relationship between authors, right holders and consumers, Internet users, ”comments Darbinyan.
Recall that today the Moscow City Court
issued a decision on the “eternal” blocking of RuTracker. This decision, if the defendant does not appeal it, will take effect after 30 days.
The reason for the blockage is the illegal publication of resource links to books by various authors, including Alexander Gromov and Daria Dontsova.
