A record of domain blocking and the IP address of web.archive.org (207.241.224.26) has been entered in the Register of prohibited sites .

The RBC news agency reports that Roskomnadzor has restricted access to the archive.org/details/odinochniy page, according to a decision of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation dated June 16, on the basis of article 15.3 of the Law on Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection. The Prosecutor General’s Office considered that the publication contains “appeals in the riots, the implementation of extremist activities, participation in mass events held in violation of the established procedure.”

On Archive.org, dozens of pages were blocked and deleted.

This is not the first blocking of the Internet Archive in Russia. On October 24, 2014, Roskomnadzor registered the domain itself and the IP address of the Archive in the register of prohibited sites.

The Internet Archive is a non-profit organization founded in 1996. The archive collects copies of web pages, images, video, audio recordings and software, providing long-term archiving of the collected material and free access to it for all. The declared goal is to preserve the cultural and historical values of civilization in the era of Internet technologies.
