Roskomnadzor begins hunting for "fake" accounts in social networks

Impersonator accounts are subject to blocking.

Representatives of Roskomnadzor on their VKontakte page called the use of other people's data to create accounts as “an example of violation of the law on personal data”. (You shouldn't be surprised at the format of communication in the community by reference - this is indeed the official page of the state organization.)

Most likely, we are talking about those situations where the data of another person - a photograph, name, surname, patronymic name - are used to register on any resources. The purpose of such actions "cannot be recognized as socially significant."

Roskomnazdor was not limited to words, a number of recommendations were issued to Internet users. If someone registers with other people's personal data, users are asked to contact the administration.

If there is no reaction from the moderators, it is recommended to contact the Roskomnadzor. What the ILV will do is not indicated, but the methods of the authority are well known - these are warnings and then blocking of individual pages and entire sites.

It is quite likely that Roskomnadzor was prompted by the recent conflict between Valery Syutkin and the Lurkmoar administration . The fact is that the photo of the singer has become an Internet meme with a touch of misogyny: the text of the macro pictures suggests beating the fair sex in the face.

Until recently, Syutkin did not know anything about this. His mother held the Internet, and she told her son that the image is used on the Web "in bad faith". The singer turned to the legal department of Roskomnadzor for advice. A spokesman for Roskomnadzor said that the reason for blocking could be the use of personal data:

This is the name, surname and picture. Given that the person is known and easily identifiable, this aggregate is recognized as personal data and can be protected by the law on personal data.

Roskomnadzor filed a lawsuit in the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow against the administration of the site Lurkmore.to. Roskomnadzor asks the court to recognize the information on the page about the BBPE, which is prohibited for distribution in Russia. Then the agency will include this page in the well-known "black list".

The Lurkmoara administration did not respond to the Izvestia request. Dmitry Homak, co-founder of the resource, says that he has been talking with the RKN for two months about this article. The problem page is still available on the site; as you can see, no one deleted from her any mention of the singer's name and his photograph.
