Google's vice president of trolls that a new version of Android could be named after algae

Google senior vice president Hiroshi Lockheimer (Hiroshi Lockheimer), responsible for Android and Chrome OS at the company, hinted on his twitter about the new name that the latest version of Android N should receive. According to him, he learned that the edible seaweed with a Japanese name Nori , which is used in the preparation of sushi, is not only useful, but also a tasty product. This hint (and subtle trolling) was immediately tied up with finding a suitable name for the Google mobile operating system, which, as is well known, was still named after any sweets.

This user trolling is actually already a peculiar Google game. At the last Google I / O 2015 conference, Google Vice President Dave Burke got involved in a conversation with Twitter users and himself confirmed that rumors of a new name - Milkshake - were in fact not true. As you know, the real name was Marshmallow.

Before the release of Android L in 2014, Italian sculptor Giovanni Calabrese (Giovanni Calabrese), who is the author of the well-known composition of Android figurines on the lawn in front of Google office, clearly stated on Google+ that he likes the smell of licorice. As known, Android received the code name Lollipop.

And even earlier, Google itself announced that Android 5.0 would carry the name Key Lime Pie, but after a while it changed the name to KitKat. True, so far from the topic of sweets - in the field of algae - Google has never entered.
