PhotoMath app came out on Android

Mathematical application PhotoMath, previously available only for iOS and Windows Phone, officially appeared on Google Play . Requires Android 4.1 or higher for installation.

PhotoMath is a kind of “video calculator”. The camera of the smartphone must be pointed at the printed mathematical expression and wait for the solution. The calculation takes place remotely, so doing the lessons offline until it turns out. So far, the following types of operations are supported:

• Arithmetic expressions
• Simple and decimal fractions
• Extraction of roots of different degrees
• Solving simple linear as well as quadratic equations
• The solution of inequalities, systems of linear equations, and equations with a module

In contrast to the same MathCad, in PhotoMath, you can view the solution in steps.
