
Today, at the ongoing Cyber Security Forum 2015, Rostelecom presented a new mobile browser Sputnik.
Android users can already download the application from
Google Play , as well as the developer promises to publish the application in the App Store in the near future.
The application itself is positioned as a browser for family use. “Sputnik” is equipped with a built-in protection system against malicious activity, there is a “child mode”, as well as the possibility of anonymous work, support for voice input and other functions. When working with this browser, the user, for example, will be warned about loading potentially dangerous web pages, and in child mode, access to sites with adults (18+) and dangerous content is blocked.
From the application available on Google Play, several functions are noted, such as: caching materials - the page can be saved to read it later even without an internet connection and convenient customization of the start page - by default, it also displays information about the exchange rate, weather news of Russia.
According to Sputnik's product director, Mikhail Kozlov: the company plans to create other services, including a poster for children and parents and the Sputnik.deti project.

Interfax , the mobile satellite was developed based on Android WebKit. Currently, work is underway on the desktop version of the browser.
