Block the entire Internet, or a monkey with a grenade

Today something happened that had long been warned. The ILV has blocked a decent part of the global network and Runet in particular, including Yandex, VK, Odnoklassniki and TamTam at the same time. Facebook and Google also did not stand aside.

It happened on April 26 at 21:06 UTC , or around midnight Moscow time. In total, more than a hundred IP addresses of various popular sites were blocked.

Fortunately, for most readers of this article, the lock went unnoticed: it was canceled after about two hours . Only the inhabitants of the Far East could sense the unpleasant effects. Because of this blocking, some Odnoklassniki services could be unavailable, and Google and Facebook users in Moscow might not have noticed the blocking at all, since the IP of these companies is presumably given geographical factors.

As usual, this new blocking did not affect the availability of Telegram.

How could this happen?
