An open company should be transparent to customers. I want to see how they make me shawarma, and I may want to watch the team making my site. After all, I pay them for every hour!
What if I ask an advertising agency that sells me man-hours - to provide me with the opportunity to follow the performers online? I would be satisfied with capturing video from designers' displays, recording telephone conversations of managers and webcam in front of copywriters :)

The test will help you decide whether your company should turn into an open one:
1. Can the result of your work be assessed by the customer on the principle of “yes, that's exactly what I imagined”. If YES, while you can relax. If not, see n2.
2. Do you get quick (online!) Feedback to the target audience of the customer on the result of your activity? If yes, then see p3, if not - rest :)
3. Do you want to do well ?! To the customer and his consumers ?! If not, go out :) If YES-YES, then it’s time for you to become an open company.
