Writing to NTFS from under GNU / Linux.

On February 21, the first stable release of the NTFS-3G driver implementation for full work with the NTFS file system from GNU / Linux took place. All previous releases were alpha and beta versions.

NTFS-3G works through FUSE (Filesystem in userspace) and allows you not only to read from NTFS partitions, but also to write to them, in contrast to the support that is in the Linux kernel.
On the official page of the project you can find links to packages for different distributions.
Also on the official page you can see the mention of the fact that NTFS-3G can work on other operating systems that can work with FUSE (such as FreeBSD, MacOSX and Haiku)
