Now the global community of Crossover has more than 4,000 developers and professionals of other specialties in 138 countries of the world . Of these, more than 400 people live and work in Russia. And this means that, thanks to Crossover, the Russian economy has received four hundred individual entrepreneurs (IP). And then you say: “Stop, but where did the IP come from?” The fact is that Crossover in Russia has neither an office, nor even a legal entity - like anywhere else in the world, except for the headquarters in Austin, Texas. All employees work completely remotely. The fact is that Crossover in Russia does not hire employees, but cooperates with local individual entrepreneurs. Sounds unusual? Probably yes. Maybe we still simply did not appreciate all the possibilities of such a work format, and in fact he has a whole carriage of advantages over traditional hire. So what about the design as a PI? Since cooperation with Crossover and other companies of the parent holding ESW Capital takes the form of contractual relations between two legal entities, a “full set” of documents will be required.

Salary


Since Crossover is a company, in fact, an American, part of the Texas holding ESW Capital, it has an American model of remuneration, in which the advance and salary, which are usual for our latitudes, are replaced with weekly payments. In general, all work will revolve around a 40-hour work week, instead of a larger and more volatile “month”.

Payments are organized through Payoneer , an international payment service already familiar to many freelancers. To receive money for poison, QIWI or Webmoney will not work: these options are in principle poorly suited for cross-border calculations. You can bind the account number to your Payoneer account and set up automatic withdrawal, i.e. use it as a "gateway". Initially payments are made in dollars, but you can choose automatic conversion into Russian rubles. For this conversion, however, you will have to pay 2% commission.

Schedule, vacation, sick leave


In addition to maintaining accounting and self-paying taxes, IP also shoulders the rationing of one’s own working day, planning vacations and accumulating those same “vacation pay”.

In the case of the organization of labor in the Crossover is slightly easier than in other piece-distant work. It is expected that in collaboration with the company, the developer or manager will work 40 hours per calendar week. If the work process does not require close interaction with other team members, then the distribution of these 40 hours remains solely at the discretion of the employee and his manager. So, you can stretch the "pleasure" for all seven calendar days and work without days off at all, but you can "compress" the working week to four days.

In general, the schedule is consistent with the manager of the team and some comfortable parity is sought for all interested parties. Therefore, let it be necessary to work 40 hours, this does not mean work “from 9 to 18”, but there are positions, such as Customer Support Architect , when you have to adjust to the time of mandatory presence.

As for the holidays. If you pay attention to the form of remuneration in the “ Jobs ” section, you will notice that the payment for the year is calculated on the basis of 50 working weeks rather than 52. Two weeks of vacation per year are already included in the annual payment. A longer rest is made out in agreement with the manager in the form of a break in cooperation - at the expense of the IP itself, but the level of payment in the Crossover implies that he can afford it.

Approximately the same principle of coordinating absence applies in case of illness. In cases of lung diseases that “knock out” for a couple of days, you can negotiate with the manager to reduce the number of hours or “shift” the labor activity relative to the usual approved schedule (if you do not want to lose money). This takes into account the specifics of the project and the position at which you work. Some entertaining tax mathematics
