Announcement of ElixirLangMoscow Meetup # 7

The club ElixirLangMoscow, with the support of Rambler & Co, invites developers, team leaders and everyone who is somehow connected with the development at Elixir to take part in ElixirLangMoscow Meetup, which will be held on February 15 at 19:00, on Thursday, in the bar “Honey, I'll call back”.

The program of the meeting includes a free microphone for those who have something to say, and two cool reports:

1. Introduction to Agala - Dmitry Rubinstein, CTI

The report will highlight the Agala framework - a platform for real-time interaction with third-party services. Currently, bots for Telegram and Vk are implemented on this platform, which are used in the combat environment in our company. Let us analyze the main differences from the known solutions for creating bots on Elixir, consider the internal structure of the platform and learn how to support any necessary third-party service.

2. Apache CouchDB: more than a database with HTTP API - Alexander Shorin, Senior Development Engineer at Rambler & Co

This will be an introductory talk about Apache CouchDB and its ecosystem. Key features and capabilities. Details of the implementation of the replication protocol and why it is important. Forks: Couchbase, Cloudant - what's the difference and why not confuse them with the original project. The history of clustering, what happened in the end in 2.0 and how it works. What is interesting in the new release and where the project is going.
