Legal status of cryptocurrency - the survey is conducted by the bot of the University Innopolis
Questions are asked by the Telegram chat bot, all answers are recorded in the Ethereum blockchain. Employees of the IT university expect that the published survey results will help the legislature in the development of legal norms for the use of blockchain technologies in finance.
The survey was initiated by specialists from the Innopolis University Distributed Registry System Center. They refer to the instructions of Vladimir Putin to the Government of the Russian Federation and the Bank of Russia on introducing amendments to the legislation that provide for determining the status of digital technologies used in the financial sphere and their concepts.
Rustam Davletbaev, Head of the Center for Systems of the Distributed Registry of Innopolis University: “We collect the opinion of the professional community on a wide range of issues related to blockchain technology, cryptocurrency and ICO in Russia. The adoption of unweighted decisions by legislators can have a negative impact on a country's economy. Therefore, conducting such a study will help assess the risks and prospects of these solutions for Russia's technological breakthrough in the global market. ” ')
The survey "Legislative regulation of cryptocurrency, ICO and blockchain technology" consists of two parts. In the first part, experts answer questions about the pros and cons of legislative regulation, the experience of other countries and the prospects for using cryptocurrencies in Russia. In the second part, respondents rate responses from other survey participants.
In 2017, the IT university opened the Distributed Registry System Center for research and development in the field of decentralized projects. In 2018, Innopolis University will start developing its own master program for training specialists in the field of blockchain technology.
