Joel Johnson (Joel Johnson), editor of the site Gizmodo "retired", published a
material in which he urged everyone to abandon the purchase and use of gadgets.
“They want me to write a weekly column, but I hate electronics, I hate marketing and I hate all people because they are stupid,” Johnson writes. In the article, he drove through to PR managers who were sending out idiotic press releases in large quantities, and also tried to persuade readers to "not buy all that crap."
The cry of the journalist’s soul, who had been writing for gadgets for several years, did not leave Gizmodo’s visitors indifferent - commentators condemning and supporting Johnson had a fair amount. Although, of course, it is possible that this was just one of the methods once again to draw attention to the resource.
