Undocumented line tag "This is a translation, stupid!" On Habré

Everyone knows the problems of difficult recognition of whether the author himself wrote the article or just translated it. On Habré, with this provision, they thought about how to fight for a long time, but in the autumn they took all the measures previously proposed:

Everything is almost good, but with one condition: if the compiler did not forget first, BEFORE publication on the site, indicate that he publishes the translation. If you have forgotten, it is impossible to translate the publication into the “Translation” format, only with the deletion and publication of a new copy. But there can already be comments and history of viewing which I would not like to lose.

It turned out that to avoid these cases, the author provides the publisher (translator) with an undocumented tag called “This is a translation, Username!”.

The advantage of this tag is that:

There is a drawback. The word Username is by default replaced with the word given in the title, and it is not yet known what parameter to substitute in it the nickname of the comment author. It is checked that text, name - do not fit, and title gives even worse result. Also, a certain group of commentators will not be able to use this tag to indicate to the interlocutor that this is a translation (which, incidentally, is reasonable).

But the fact that such a tag was found in the Habrastorage open spaces says that the company strongly supports the solution of actual problems of publication in various ways, and this will help to finally solve the problem of non-recognition of translations by readers. I suggest only to add this tag to the documentation available when writing a new article, when editing an article (a separate button icon in the title, for example, in the form of a donkey) and when adding a comment.

If the author himself adds the comment, it would make sense to replace the silent word with the phrase: “This is a translation, not my article. It is my fault that I didn’t notice the “publish / transfer” selection option in time, but now I don’t change anything. I promise not to do this again! ”

Try experimenting with this new tag and answer the question if such a tag is needed now.
