That was the first meeting of Kotlin Night in Moscow with the support of JetBrains. In the Avito office, a full hall of those interested in this programming language gathered, several hundred more developers joined the video broadcast, and the Belarus Kotlin User Group even organized a joint viewing of the mitap. The meeting was a success! Under the cut, we share video recordings of speeches, links to a photo report and slides.
Alexander Tarasov told why Kotlin was chosen to automate the experiments, not classical configuration management tools (such as Ansible), why good DSL and tools are crucial for this task and what problems had to be overcome in order for everything to work as originally planned.
How to reduce the amount of boilerplate-code using such Kotlin language tools, as interfaces with partial implementation and delegates of classes? How can you use them to imitate impurities (mixins) and what changes in the language could significantly improve the current situation? See the report!
A report on the capabilities and development of Kotlin Native technology, as well as on the prospects of multi-platform product development, covering backend, Android, iOS and the web.
The report will focus on the issues, purpose, area of use, examples of well-known monads and a checklist of what is needed to use them in working with Kotlin. And also those minuses that must be considered when working with monads.
Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting, watched the video, read this post.
We posted the photo report on Facebook .
