For many, it is no secret that we in our work try to follow the philosophy that has developed among the developers of the Opera Presto browser. She proved to be promising and correct, so it makes no sense to abandon her in favor of something else. Part of this philosophy was the desire to expand the use of the browser to the widest possible list of various devices. And today we are pleased to present the next test build of the Vivaldi browser for the Raspberry Pi, all the details are under the cut.

The development of this unusual version for ARM processors was the result of the commencement of our work on the mobile version of the browser, which you have been asking us for a long time and constantly. And now you not only understand that the work on mobile versions is underway, but you can also see the first results of this work.

Given that this version is purely experimental, it will in no way affect the release of stable versions for the desktop, but you can tell us about all the errors and shortcomings found in this build while working with it. The Vivaldi browser works on various platforms, including the Raspberry Pi (Zero / 2/3), as well as on other popular devices and platforms like CubieBoard or ASUS Tinker Board.
