Why did I buy a Mac Mini (Late 2012) on the eve of 2018?

These are the main reasons for buying a Mac Mini. The first two points are fairly obvious, but the last paragraph clearly needs comments ...

Foreword

I had a MacBook Pro 13 (Mid 2014) with the most powerful processor in its line ( i7-4578U ) and 8 GB of RAM. Battery deterioration was about 1,400 cycles and the charger lived out its last days. To change the battery and buy a charger would cost 22000‚ from "officers" or from 6000‚ in other places. But was it worth extending the life of the device, which is no longer satisfied with the performance ?!
