Decide whether it is good or not, but on the Russian grocery market the most common strategy is copying. To the question of why copying has taken root in Russia, CEO Prisma refers to culture and people. ')
Problem # 1 - people and culture
In Russia, people are disastrously afraid of risks. They are afraid of losing what they already have, afraid of making a mistake, and being punished for it. Especially the situation is aggravated in the case of failures and packs. It is not surprising, because from the side they start throwing rotten tomatoes and poking a finger at the “losers”.
Problem # 2 - Fear of Losing Reputation
For this reason, people in Russia are skeptical of every kind of innovation, innovation and creativity. After all, it may simply destabilize their current stable position of horoshist.
Problem # 3 - Expertise
For each product, for each innovation, for each step of the company - there should be a strategy and goals. Having a strategy, you will move not just somewhere, but move in the right direction. This is what is missing in Russia.
Case: If Google does Self Driving Car - their goal is to reduce the number of urban car parks, which sometimes occupy up to 50% of the city’s area, and therefore occupy a very expensive real estate area.
What to change?
The main thing is to develop the qualities to constantly try new things, change your feeling, become open to new ideas. To reach a new level - be able to accept changes!
