Russian Startups Go Global 2017 - new global opportunities for Russian IT entrepreneurs

November 29, we hold a Russian Startups Go Global 2017 conference for IT entrepreneurs with the potential for development and scaling in the international market. How will it be in 2017


The main program of the conference consists of three blocks: "Business", "Technology" and "Fundraising and M & A". Alexander Gorny, director of strategy and analysis for Mail.Ru Group

He has gone from a programmer to the Mail.Ru Mail department head. In March 2006, he moved to the Rambler Internet holding to the post of director for the development of web projects. Ryan Peng, Managing Director, Digital Dao China

Ryan is an expert and entrepreneur from China in the areas of IT and digital. One of his projects with strong expertise in Chinese digital, Cloud COmputing, SaaS attracted investment from Sequoia Capital. Ryan worked for 8 years as Senior Product Manager at SAP, the largest software developer for the enterprise sector worldwide.



Valerie Prune, Director of Open Innovation at EDF

Valerie is the co-founder of the Nugenia Association, which is engaged in research and development of nuclear fission technologies and has more than 110 participants in 28 countries. Together with partners from Europe and Silicon Valley, he founded an association that helps promote business innovation. Now Valerie lives and works in Paris, where he is the director of Open Innovation in Europe and the Middle East and is developing a mutually beneficial cooperation with EDF Group startups.



Peter Green, co-founder of the Republic, a leading platform for crowdfunding investments in the United States

In the company, Peter is responsible for the Republic product and coaching fundraising startups. Republic is a member of the leading group of investment sites with AngelList and CoinList.
He has been working in the IT field for more than 15 years and is a mentor and advisor to a number of startups on product creation, branding and fundraising. In California, he founded the successful SaaS company MeetingPulse, fashion-brand Volga Verdi, the #VVY app and the Mine network. Previously, he worked for Leo Burnett Moscow in the department of interactive design on projects for GM, P & G, Mars, Sberbank, McDonalds and others.


Boris Batin, Co-Founder and CEO ID Finance

From September 2003 to July 2006, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Capital Markets Division of the Deutsche Bank Group in London. From 2006 to 2010, he was the Vice-President for the debt capital markets of Russia and the CIS countries Renaissance Capital in Moscow. From 2010 to 2012, he served as Vice President for the Debt Capital Markets of Russia and the CIS at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Moscow. In 2012, Boris Batin founded the first Russian online lending company ID Finance.



Laurent Ellerbach, Head of the Technical Evangelical Group for Central and Eastern Europe at Microsoft

Laurent is the leader of technical evangelical teams in central and eastern Europe, which implies the involvement of developers and students of technical specialties through events and online, as well as co-writing code with them. As a student, he joined Microsoft, where he had worked for 20 years in various positions. All these years he has been actively helping startups in technical and business matters.



Brent Cooper, co-founder of Moves The Needle, author of The Lean Entrepreneur

Author of The Lean Entrepreneur, The Entrepreneur, and The Lean Brand. Brent helped startups to evolve from an idea to rapid growth, a corporation sale, an IPO and knows all the typical mistakes of entrepreneurs from their own experience. As the founder of Moves the Needle, it helps corporations set up work with innovations and implement practices from the founders of startups.



Alexey Pelevin, CEO and founder of the legal reference system and information portal Pravo.ru

In 2000, he worked in the design studio of Artemy Lebedev as a designer. In 2002, he organized the Park design studio, and in 2008 participated in the creation and launch of the legal reference system and the Pravo.ru information portal. In 2009, Pravo.ru won the state tender for servicing the sites of arbitration courts, and since 2010, the company has been automating the arbitration system of Russia with the Electronic Justice service. In 2012-2013, systems were opened to automate the legal activities of Casebook, Caselook and Case.Pro.

Well, one of the most practically useful parts of the conference is the cases of the founders with the experience of entering foreign markets. Last year, this conference block gathered a lot of positive feedback from the participants - the stories can be heard on video .

This year, IIDF launched an international accelerator to adapt the product, gain first customers and accelerate growth in the US market - Techmafia. Therefore, we invited its participants - Convead CEO Alexei Kovalev, Stafory Development Director and Robot Vera co-founder Alexei Kostarev, CEO Knoema Vladimir Bugay - to share their first sales and pilot cases in the states.
