uSpeech - startup development (3). Increase website conversion with A / B testing

For several reasons, the main one of which was not the highest conversion (only a third of users who visited the site, clicked the “download” button), it was decided to remake our “landing page”.

What we have changed, and most importantly, how to check the result - under the cut.

Briefly: uSpeech solves the problem of the development of vocabulary and cleaning of the Russian language with our users (for more details, see our first article on Habré).

So, what we changed:


1. The taste and color. All site design is different (except for the main background).
2. More structured information.
3. An example of the service in the form of animation under the logo.
4. Removed too much, highlighted the main thing. We decided that a lot of text can distract from the initial impulse.

Testing


The work has been done is not enough, but you can not just roll out the new version. We decided that we need to test. The idea was taken from the book “Business from scratch. Lean srurtup.

What is the idea of ​​the method:
The old version is not deleted anywhere, but is being tested in parallel with the new one under the same conditions.

What exactly did we do:
We have placed the new version of the site in the next folder, adding to the address / new. Placed two identical ads in two very similar groups of VK on the composition
and the number of subscribers, changing only the link to the site.

What happened:
The result met all our expectations. The number of people visiting different versions of the site is about the same, and the percentage of those who decide to download has grown from 30 (from the old version) to 90. Yes, the test will continue for some time and we hope that the results will only improve, but they will on the face.
