More recently, Raiffeisen has updated its Android mobile app for Raiffeisen-Online Russia . I want to share with you some observations of this update.

The application has been updated and reset authorization. Alas, the developers offer to re-enter the password, connect the input on the fingerprint and set the pin code.

Now you can enter on the map. Cool, because in this case I will not have to enter the password with my hands, and I have a long and complicated one.

Step 1. I attach the map, the form fields are automatically filled with the data read through NFC, I enter the CVC, click "Enter".

Step 2. I receive SMS at the same time with the PIN code for the input and permission to read the SMS. I give permission, but the code is not automatically stamped. Why? Because the application can not read the SMS, which came before I gave permission to read. Request permission to read SMS need to ask before you send SMS. You have to enter the received code from SMS manually, which is very inconvenient.

I expected that after the previous steps I would enter the “Personal Account”, but what did I get as a result? The application has reset my old password and asks for a new one. Let me remind you that choosing the entrance on the map, I meant to skip steps with other passwords, and now I have to repeat everything from the beginning, and even more. How can the user guess this logon logic?

Summary


Why do you need to do this on the map? If you wanted to make an alternative input, then you had to do something much easier and more convenient. If I have already scanned the card, I do not want to come up with new passwords again and enter them again. The ideal scenario would be the following scenario: I scan the card, receive notification of permission to read SMS, confirm permission, then receive SMS with an access code that the application automatically reads, and without problems enter my personal account.

16 steps! Sixteen, Karl! For example, Tinkov has 8 steps and there are also unnecessary ones for me there, but there are 8 of them. Why do you dislike us so much?

Three steps to choose a city are many, such a scenario can be done in one step.

Tips (screenshots number 12-16). I sincerely believe that the tips are useless, and you should not waste time on their development. It is better to use this time to work out the interface of the personal account, so that without any prompts it would be clear how to use the application and what functionality is available in the product.

Re-entry to the application




To re-enter the application, you must first click "Login", after which you have to enter a PIN code or fingerprint. Why this extra screen with the "Login" button? Why not do it the way it was done in Alpha Bank or Tinkov, when I can immediately enter a PIN code or fingerprint on the start screen?

Conclusion


The update came out recently, and I did not use the rest of the application's capabilities in due measure to write more about them. But acquaintance only with the entrance to the application already leaves a negative impression about the whole update.
