AI on Fiztekh: digital economy, blockchain, chat bots and that's it

In the autumn, Fiztech launched a series of seminars on artificial intelligence. During the discussions, various topics of the world of machine learning and technological entrepreneurship are considered: how and why intelligent systems will become the dominant part of our life and economy in the coming years, what initiatives and projects are developing abroad, market trends and how to create them, what can be developed together with teams MIPT laboratories now and how to get involved in an alliance and collaboration with “smart” machines. The third meeting on the topic: " Project iPavlov. How do they develop conversational artificial intelligence at Fiztech ”will take place on November 13 at 6:30 pm at 107 MIPT Biokorpus. The iPavlov project started in March of this year. He concentrates on the development of “conversational” machine intelligence, capable of conducting a meaningful dialogue with a person and achieving the goal set in the dialogue, not only answering questions, but also requesting the missing information. For this purpose, a specially created algorithm “learns” on large arrays of documents and text records of dialogues between people. Such technology, in particular, will allow to create a platform where, using textual information, artificial intelligence will be able to communicate with the user, helping him to solve this or that problem.

Moderator - Konstantin Vorontsov , Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Machine Intelligence at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Lecturer at the School of Engineering Studies, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow State University, HSE.

Konstantin told how to learn to notice the challenges of data mining in science, business and everyday life, and how serious the role of open data and data analysis competitions in economic development can be. Also, the reports of the White House of the USA for 2016 “on the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy of the future” and their main terminology were reviewed.

He spoke about how banks adapt methods and approaches of machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve their business cases and about the classification of initiatives in artificial intelligence.
