Stages
Young specialists up to 30 years old from different fields are invited to participate in the hackathon - programmers, marketers, engineers, analysts, designers, as well as students studying or interested in one of these areas. The qualifying round takes place online and
will end on November 5th .
Within this stage, participants need to select one of the tasks, work out the idea, design it in accordance with the layout (it can be downloaded
here ) and send it to a.baranova@spb.gs.ru.
Interim results
The list of participants who will be in the final (10 projects) will be posted on the hackathon website on November 6.
The final
The second phase of the hackathon will take place on November 24-26 in St. Petersburg (in person). Venue: coworking center "Boiling Point". The organizers pay for the transfer and accommodation of the hackathon finalists who will arrive in St. Petersburg from other cities.
As part of this stage, the teams will receive additional data from the organizers, finalize their prototypes and present them to the jury during the pitch sessions.
Projects
To participate in the hackathon, you must select one of several tasks and propose your solution. All tasks are combined into four cases, which, in turn, are divided into two thematic tracks: neuromarketing and smart home.
Cases from the track "neuromarketing"
- Information infrastructure . The task of the participants is to propose solutions for the optimization and management of state information systems in St. Petersburg.
- Visualization of psycho-emotional states of a person. Within the framework of this case, the participants should, on the basis of data obtained from the neural interface, develop a system for visualizing the human condition for theatrical production. By the way, contemporary art really poses tasks of this kind for artists and developers - we have already talked about one of such projects in our blog.
- Recommended services . The participants' task is to propose a system of “smart” advertising, which is formed based on user preferences, or a system for recommending television content (how neurointerfaces work - including to track consumer behavior - we talked about one of the University’s accelerator’s resident projects) ITMO).
Case from the track "smart home"
- This case offers participants one of two tasks: “the climate of the smart home” (development of algorithms for the operation of the “smart” thermostat) and “lighting the smart home” (setting up the lighting control system in the cottage). By the way, at ITMO University, projects related to smart home technologies are being developed by the teams of the secure information technology department - you can read about its work in this direction here .
Prizes
Of the 10 projects that reached the final, the jury will select four (two from each track). The first places will receive a cash prize of 100 thousand rubles, the second - 50 thousand rubles. In addition, participants will be able to get acquainted with the NeuroNet community and get into the program of the National Technology Initiative.
