Meeting in St. Petersburg November 16: Delivery-infrastructure for companies and individual projects

We will meet on November 16 to talk about how to build DevOps infrastructure for a large company with a complex product, frequent releases, CI, and a single project, a department in a company, or even a small startup when it is long and expensive to deploy a large stack. Let's see what laws exist for devops culture in large enterprise companies, and touch on the topic of specific tools and solutions. In particular, let's talk about the best practices of working with Ansible.

1. Grigory Komissarov, Wrike - "From 15 and more: How to ensure the scalability of CI in an actively growing product."

In Wrike, more than 14 full-featured and practically independent scram teams with different release schedules work on one product. Over the past year and a half, the front end team (yes, we are web, SPA, SaaS) has grown from 15 to 50+ people, the release happens at least once a day. How, in such conditions, to create a devops-infrastructure that can quickly and clearly meet all the demands of the rapidly growing development team, and be ready to scale it up without serious consequences? What tasks for the last one and a half years of growth we set for ourselves and what lessons we have learned, and we will talk about this at the meeting.

I will talk about the specifics of the devops infrastructure in a large enterprise and the problems faced by a person trying to introduce a DevOps culture in a large company.

I’ll tell you how Mesos was useful for our team of analysts and how we use its capabilities in conjunction with Docker. We will look at what features work with the allocation of resources for Spark and think about how to deal with the love of “cores”, armed with Mesos and Docker.
