Perhaps I missed some decent project. I would be glad if someone tells me, I would add a list. In the description of the services I will build on Google Spreadsheets, because in my mind, this service is familiar to a large number of people. Many have already tried and have an idea. What I paid the most attention to: 1) speed, 2) work with formulas, 3) compatibility with different browsers (Opera, Firefox). I assume that everything works in IE.
Google SpreadsheetsAs one of the most popular services I will not present. Quality at a fairly high level with a few exceptions: does not work in Opera.
XcelleryWorks in Opera and Firefox. From the pros: a fairly fast speed, from the minuses I can point out a relatively small set of formulas. There are only 5 of them: Sum, Average, Max, Min, Count. The system of working with documents is such that the service provides an opportunity for you to open your document whether in a browser or in Excel. There are functions for collaboration and regulating access to documents. For my taste, for such simplicity, the speed of work could be increased.

Zoho sheetWho does not know, Zoho is a whole set of programs for working online (and a text editor, and tables, and even a CRM system + many others). So, Zoho Sheet works well in Firefox and with small glitches in Opera (for the time being, I only had inconvenience in display, functionality, like, did not suffer). There is a large set of formulas. You can adjust the access rights. For my taste, the functionality is comparable to Google Spreadsheets and inferior to Editgrid. The only thing that confuses me a little is the relatively long loading of the document. Work in an open document is fast. You can create graphics.
EditgridWorks in Opera and Firefox. The speed of work is also quite high than in Google Spreadsheets and Xcellery. Very large set of formulas. Cells can be “pulled” over a corner (auto-complete). In Google Spreadsheets, for example, this is not. In general, the functionality is more than Google Spreadsheets. You can, for example, build graphics. You can adjust the access rights. I personally liked it more than Google Docs or Zoho. There is a great opportunity to connect data from the outside! Insert the link and specify a regular expression.
ThinkfreeWorks in Opera and Firefox. The infidelity is quite rich in various pribluds, but the work in the document is very slow, both loading and work. A lot of graphics. In terms of speed, I personally lost to all the services described above. From the pros - a large set of formulas (again, work with which is very inconvenient - when choosing a formula, throws it into a static help. Ie for work it is necessary, it turns out, to know the formulas by heart. I still didn’t really like navigating the table: you need to click the arrows to the right - left, up and down. Another minus: need Java.
