FrontFest.Mix - 7 themes about code style, WebGL, A / B, RON, templating, JavaScript ecosystem and programmer’s life

You may not be aware of fashionable technologies, not think about the availability of sites, score on the development of the ecosystem, but it seems that after a year or two with this approach you can become a taxi driver-programmer. This story is not close to us, so at the FrontFest conference, apart from the clear threads VYORSTKA and JS, we put the stream MIX into the program. As the name implies, it is for reports that do not fit into the first two streams - these are speeches about code type, frontend performance, data formats, JavaScript ecosystem, and the development of the fronterer as a developer.

§ About code style

Germans
We are sure that no one needs to explain why cleanliness and order are needed in a project. But spending a lot of time on maintaining a uniform style in the code is also not the case. Anton Nemtsev, in his report “ Code style and violence ”, will tell us how to choose code style and control its use with the help of various tools and a bit of violence. Anton is the founder and editor of the electronic magazine Frontender Magazine, speaker of international and local conferences and representative of Web Standards in Ukraine.

§ About frameworks, data formats and skills

Prigar
Developers do not always have enough experience and / or time to assess what knowledge they lack. We have prepared a lifehack report for you. Ekaterina Prigara, IDS WebStorm product manager, has been observing the JavaScript ecosystem from more than four years and is ready to share these observations. Catherine's report will help with the choice of a framework, a language superset, or something else massive .
')

Gryshchenko
But the well-known holivar lover Viktor Grishchenko will tell you how to choose the data format for synchronization with the server. Last year, at CodeFest, he talked about how to write your Protobuf in JavaScript, and at FrontFest, he would talk about the RON format : show demos, tell about the implementation and about his experience with this format.

Alekseenko
The two previous reports are sufficiently capacious to complete this paragraph, but there is another very important topic - and what does the developer need to know if you don’t dive into the details of the choice of languages and formats? Igor Alekseenko has had many years of front-end development behind him: JetBrains, Artemy Lebedev's studio, Artyom Gorbunov's design bureau. And now - teaching in HTML Academy. After so many years of development, there is clearly an understanding of what was to be studied all this time besides frameworks and so on. About this - in the report of Igor .

§ Pro performance

At the end of the development of any application, with all the frameworks, properly selected formats, perfected business logic, accessibility for any person and on any device, it seems we should check how fast it all works.

Splitt
The performance topic at FrontFest is brought by Martin Splitt. It will go all the way from pixel to DOM and CSS, as well as talk about how Canvas and WebGL work, and how to squeeze all 60FPS out of the site.

Tghtd
Martin's report will complement Anton Eprev from Booking.com. Booking.com is just such a company that releases its features only after A / B testing, during which it removes all metrics, including fps and even smooth scrolling. Anton Eprev will tell about all the intricacies of performance monitoring in his report.

This is just the beginning. In addition to the MIX section, there will be sections JS and VYORSTKA, as well as the flow of apartment residents and the flow of workshops. We will tell about them in the next month, but for now ↓
