Go: 10 years and grow further

This week we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the creation of Go.

It all started with a discussion on the evening of Thursday, September 20, 2007. It led to an organized meeting between Robert Greensier, Rob Pike and Ken Thompson at 2 pm the next day at the Yaounde conference room on Building 43 of the main Google Mountain View campus. The name for the language appeared on the 25th, several messages after the start of the correspondence about the design:
