Hackathon HackCV, October 7-8

For several years, Computer Vision has become a trend in C / C ++ development due to its relevance in the Automotive industry. This technology allows you to endow computers with cognitive abilities, so that the cars of the future will see, touch, and therefore interact with the outside world like people. At the HackCV training hackathon, Luxoft experts will not only share their experience in Computer Vision, but also teach you practical skills in working with this technology.

Today, Luxoft is the world leader in the integration of CV technology in the automotive industry. On the roads of the world already millions of cars are running, on which software developed by Luxoft is installed. In St. Petersburg, we are currently working on the creation of software for unmanned vehicles - Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) - technology driver assistance, which will provide an unprecedented level of reliability and safety.

Computer Vision inspires us every day to expand our perceptions and capabilities, therefore, having a substantial amount of expertise, we also offer you to challenge yourself within HackCV and solve a problem within 24 hours that is comparable to the Turing test, which allows you to determine if your computer . By combining the efforts, we will create software that will allow the unmanned vehicle to pass an exam equivalent to a human for obtaining driver rights. This procedure will determine whether the car can adequately perceive the environment.

Invited to participate teams from 2 to 6 people. To successfully complete a task, you need C ++ expertise and good mathematical training, computer vision libraries (OpenCV, OpenVX etc). Experience with CV is welcome.

We want to bring the hackathon participants as close as possible to the development of safety critical embedded system, so the TensorFlow, Caffe, Theano frameworks, which for systemic and architectural reasons cannot be used in Automotive, will not be usable. Hardcore level will tend to mark “critical”.

At HackCV you can:

• Learn more about Computer Vision technology.
• Meet experts and developers in this field.
• Learn to work with Computer vision technology or increase your level of expertise in this area.
• Listen to lectures on Computer Vision and the use of neural networks in CV
• Talk with like-minded people.
• Acquire unique knowledge and immediately put it into practice
• and much more!

On October 7-8, in St. Petersburg, you have a real opportunity to get into the society of experts in computer vision, embedded development and neural networks to exchange experience, ideas and opinions.

Participation is free
