Technocup 2017-2018

Every year, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation publishes a list of school competitions giving benefits for admission to universities. Since 2015, this list includes Technocup - a programming contest under the auspices of Mail.Ru Group.

Students of the 8-11th grades can participate in Technocup. The Olympiad allows children to evaluate their strength and communicate with professionals of the IT industry, and most importantly, it gives them a chance to enroll in leading specialized universities in Russia.

In the 2017/18 school year, Technocup became the second level Olympiad. Each university determines the benefits on its own - this can be the maximum score in computer science or enrollment without entrance examinations. You can register for Technokokok until November 12th . Absentee qualifying rounds will be held on September 17, October 15 and November 12 . In order to reach the final, it is enough to win one of the three qualifying rounds. For those interested, examples and analyzes of the tasks of past years:

On the eve of each qualifying round, online introductory rounds are held. They are needed for students to understand the Codeforces platform, on the basis of which the main stages are carried out. During the introductory rounds, you can practice on two simple tasks, their results will not affect the final rating.

The final event will be held in March 2018 at two Moscow venues: at the Moscow State Technical University. N. E. Bauman and MIPT. The winners will be awarded at the Mail.Ru Group office.

Every year, about 3 thousand schoolchildren from Russia and the CIS countries participate in Technocup. In total, over 7 thousand people took part in it during the existence of the Olympiad.

Participants who took the first three places will receive valuable prizes in addition to the benefits for admission. In addition, the finalists, who will fall into MGTU them. N. E. Bauman and MIPT will receive privileges when entering Technopark and Tehnotrek - free practice-oriented educational projects of Mail.Ru Group.

The organizing committee of the Olympiad includes Dmitry Grishin, chairman of the board of directors and co-founder of the Mail.Ru Group.
