We invite everyone to participate in a business game called Kanban-pizza on September 14! We will talk about Kanban principles and rules in a playful way, discuss aspects of the application of the methodology and its benefits for the IT industry, and also share our experience in real process building.
Softer - this is a regular open meeting for everyone interested in the discussion of software engineering (Software Engineering) (
for more, see here ).
Along with Scrum, Kanban is part of an Agile philosophy, and is a set of simple principles that can be used to optimize and increase the efficiency of production processes - be it software development, food production, purchasing, and more.
')
Important advantages of Kanban are simplicity and a low entry threshold for implementation in already operating businesses.
At this event, we will in a playful way describe the principles and rules of Kanban, discuss aspects of the application of the methodology and its benefits for the IT industry, and also share our experience in the actual construction of processes.
Usually, Kanban games focus on the mechanics of the board and on the flow of the predefined Kanban system. The same game teaches how to build a Kanban system on an existing process, how to visualize it and start improving. The game is very fun, dynamic and, of course, very useful. Using the example of pizza, you can experience Kanban in practice and get a deeper understanding of this methodology.
You will be able to gain experience in building a Kanban system on an already existing process, just like in real life. Get the experience of a complete Kanban system as opposed to focusing only on the Kanban board and related mechanisms. Understand that Kanban boards are context-sensitive: for each specific process there can be many Kanban boards options that will be useful and adequate, and there is not necessarily an ideal Kanban board. Learn how to deal with losses using Work In Progress Limit. And, of course, visualize everything on a Kanban Board. In addition, you can get a good experience of fast self-organization and adaptation.
Yes, and you can just have fun and have a good time!
The event is free. The number of participants is limited to: 30 people are directly participants in the game, 15 people are observers / fans.
