The Ministry of Finance of Russia, continuing to follow the
concept of openness of federal executive bodies and develop the direction of open state data, launched accepting applications for participation in the third
competition , Open Public Financial Data BudgetApps 2017.
On August 12-13, Infoculture together with the Ministry of Finance of Russia will hold
the Budget-Pro hackathon in the framework of the competition, which will be opened by master classes of experts in the field of design and prototyping on the topic Rapid prototyping: technologies and tools. Then the main part will begin.
The hackathon participants will be offered a set of project concepts based on open public financial data that will be useful for creating a prototype.
The formulation and development of your own concept is also welcomed. At this place I want to stop in more detail and try to dispel some myths. We often encounter the fact that our potential participants focus on the term “financial data” and overlook the fact that the open data of the Russian Ministry of Finance also includes data from its subordinate services, for example, Customs and Tax Services, and also welcomes data from regional executive authorities and municipal authorities, namely:
')
The main task of the hackathon is to use the rapid prototyping techniques to present the idea of the proposed or one's own concept as a prototype of a mobile application, web service or Internet portal, Telegram bot. The list of concepts, tasks and ideas is updated in our
repository .
For effective work, all participants of the hackathon will be provided with accounts in
Axure.com .
It is necessary to separately single out that data from official documents can be used, but in a non-machine-readable format. And especially motivated participants who make efforts to convert such data into an automated format will be awarded separately for their valuable contribution to openness.
The event is primarily focused on web developers and designers, but we also invite everyone who would be interested to master the skills of rapid prototyping and modeling and creating prototypes based on open public financial data.
Especially for participants from the regions, we will organize a video broadcast of expert speeches and the opportunity to speak remotely in a videoconference format at the project presentation.
The hackathon prize fund is
20 thousand rubles and other prizes from partners.
The best prototypes of the hackathon will receive the support of the Infoculture and will be able to refine the project to a working state. Their authors will also have the opportunity to replenish their portfolio with the gratitude of the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation on September 8 at the
Moscow Financial Forum . Details will be revealed on the hackathon.
