Case of headmaster accused of piracy closed

The case of Alexander Ponosov, who was accused of installing unlicensed Microsoft software on computers, is closed. According to the channel "Russia", the reason is called the "insignificance" of the case.

Earlier it was assumed that today the court will announce the verdict to the school principal from the Perm region. Moreover, the public prosecutor even demanded to appoint him a fine in the amount of 3 thousand rubles.

It is worth noting that earlier A. Ponosov was offered to admit his guilt and go for the world, but the school director decided to sue further.

This case was widely publicized. Even speaking at a press conference, even Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on this process, calling the case against the head of the village school “bullshit”. According to the head of state, it is necessary to attract not users, but distributors of pirated products.

Interestingly, Microsoft itself has no complaints against A.Ponosov. As previously declared the head of the Moscow office of Microsoft Olga Dergunova, the company, which allegedly suffered damage in the amount of 267 thousand rubles, is not the initiator of this process. The criminal case was initiated by the local prosecutor's office as a result of the inspection.
