Preview RamblerFront & # 2

On August 3, the second external RamblerFront & meetup will be held at the Attic of the Rambler & Co, at which our employees will share their application knowledge in the field of frontend-development.

Topics for presentations:

1. Errors again - Denis Denisov (head of the frontend-interface design for Rambler & Co)
In the code, novice programmers usually have a lot of mistakes. Gradually, we gain experience, the code becomes more reliable, covered with tests, and it seems to us that errors in our code are practically excluded. But the frontend is an uncontrollable environment and anything can happen. A small report on how to start using bugs to your advantage.

2. TDD adaptive layout using Galen Framework - Pavel Karev (client application development engineer, Rambler Digital Solutions)
Pavel will talk about the ways of testing the layout and the Galen Framework itself - what it is and how it works, the experience of using it on the project, its pros and cons, as well as a small comparison with BackstopJS.

3. Optimization of isomorphic applications on React - Mikhail Pogorelskikh (head of the frontend-development team of the Rambler & Co homepage)
Mikhail will talk about optimizing an isomorphic react-application using the example of the updated rambler.ru website. We also analyze assets, Webpack configuration and Server Side Rendering.
