Linux Foundation Unveils Free Kubernetes Introductory Online Course

The introduction to Kubernetes course , created by the Linux Foundation, a non-profit organization and conducted by a specialist from the company CloudYuga Technologies, appeared on the online educational platform edX.





The new course is focused on teams that are just beginning to introduce Kubernetes (or are thinking about it) to orchestrate containers. The authors promise to talk about the basic concepts of Kubernetes, the architecture of this system, the problems to be solved and the model that is used to deploy containers and scale infrastructure.



Practical skills that students will receive:

For more advanced features, Kubernetes will be given a brief overview.



The course is, of course, in English and, remarkably, free of charge (with the opportunity to receive a certificate of successful completion for 99 USD) . The duration of the course is 4-5 weeks (a week will take 2-3 hours). Applications for participation are submitted on the course page .

Last month, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and The Linux Foundation announced they were recruiting enthusiasts to beta test their first Kubernetes certification exam ( its contents ). Registration was held until June 23, and we submitted applications, however, no news from the organizers has been received since then - we are waiting ...
