Many people noticed that on the main page, in the hubs and streams, the section “Interesting” disappeared, where all publications with a rating of +5 and higher fell. Previously, this section was needed in order not to waste time reading the entire stream of publications and see only what went through the “primary filtering” by those who read the site through the “Everything” tab. Over time, the need for the tab "Interesting" disappeared. The fact is that now almost all publications are gaining a positive rating, while there are very few mined-up publications. Therefore, we decided to hide the “Interesting” tab inside the “Everything in a row” tab, but not just hide it, but break it into several additional selections:
- without a threshold (all publications, including those written out)
- with a rating of +10 or more
- with a rating of +25 and more
- with a rating of +50 or more
- with a rating of +100 or more
Thus, it is now possible to select the desired threshold of the rating and read the publications in chronological order: either everything is in general, or with a good rating, or the very “flesh” Here, for example,
all publications "
Habra "
with a rating of +100 .
Oh, in the streams and hubs also done?
Yes, we did a similar sorting of publications in streams and hubs. Now there, too, it is possible to form convenient samples and not waste time searching for the most interesting publications. For example, you decided to learn Javascript, and in the hub of this language more than 4 thousand publications. Do not read them all in a row? We choose the sorting “+100” and, voila - there are only
14 pages of the most selective in front of you. Not just tenderloin, but downright filet mignon. Few? Press "+50" - and before you already
57 pages of publications, which were also highly appreciated by the audience.
')
Further more. Now, in the hubs, streams and blogs of companies, the Best tab is also available, in which publications go in descending order of rating. In the tab are available three sorting: per week, per month and for all time. This tab is convenient to use when you want to see the most interesting for a certain period of time. For example, the
best of all time publications in the hub "Algorithms" , or, for example,
in the blog "Yandex" .
Before uploading to the site, we tested the filtering of publications and concluded that it was not very convenient to configure it each time. Therefore, for convenience, they made it so that the selected threshold of the rating is saved for different places. That is, if you selected a threshold of +25 in the tape, then the same threshold will be selected when moving to a hub or stream.
RSS feed
Of course, each new sorting has separate RSS feeds. Add in your readers the necessary filters for any of the hubs, streams or the main page and read only what you would like. Now we have more than 3.3 thousand new ways to read "Habr" and "Giktayms"!

Completion of redesign "Habrahabra" and "Giktayms"
In the near future, we plan to complete the redesign of "Habrahabra" and "Giktayms". Now we are actively testing the new publishing typography, style of comments and preparing for uploading.
Also, as a hackathon, we updated
tmfeed.ru - now it is built on the basis of TM UI Kit elements, which we will use on all our projects.
Stay tuned!
