IT & City Android hackathon in Nizhny Novgorod

On July 1-2, a hackathon for Android developers of IT & City hackathon will be held in Nizhny Novgorod. Especially for his organization, the Google Developers Group Nizhny Novgorod community for the first time joined forces with Yandex. We invite Android developers and designers from Nizhny Novgorod and other cities to try their hand at creating applications that can be useful to the city, its residents and representatives of local IT communities.

During the day, participants will work on socially useful applications, try new technologies, search for solutions, discuss ideas and ask questions. The purpose of the hackathon is not only prototyping projects, but also the opportunity to share knowledge about the latest technologies and try them out in practice, discuss the latest IT news with like-minded people and get answers to current questions from invited experts.

Experts from Yandex and GDG Nizhny Novgorod, will assist participants. Which technologies to use in the application is up to the developers. The main thing is to implement the original idea.

There will be no lectures or reports on the hackathon. And everyone who is familiar with the development for Android can take part - both experienced developers and novice specialists. The main requirement is to bring a laptop;)

You can participate independently, submit a team application, or join with other participants on the spot. The team can be from one to four people.

Hackathon will be held in the Nizhny Novgorod office of Yandex. On Saturday, participants will work on projects, and on Sunday will present their decisions. Applications created by participants will be evaluated in the following nominations:

• The most useful project
• Best UX
• Most fun project
• The most innovative project (for using the latest technologies)
• People's Choice Award
