Microsoft at CodeFest 2017 - report, slides and video reports
Hello! This year, in April, we again participated at the CodeFest 2017 , the conference of developers, testers, designers, project and product managers (c), the coolest beyond the Urals.
This time there were several speakers from Microsoft - Jeffrey Richter (Microsoft Corporation), Andrey Belenko (Microsoft) and the humble servant (Microsoft Russia). Colleagues from the CodeFest team posted slides, video reports and a report video before kat. Under the cut, I collected all the reports that talked about Microsoft.
')
Jeffrey Richter, Partner Software Engineer, Microsoft / Wintellect About Jeffrey says everything on Wikipedia . He currently works on the Microsoft Azure Hyper-Scale team and is actively involved in the Service Fabric. In the report, Jeffrey spoke about the important points and nuances that need to be considered when designing distributed cloud applications. Must see for architects.
Rafael Rialdi has been for many years Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, author of books and technology promoter. On the development of C ++, the architecture of software systems, IoT - to him. Rafael this time told some excellent reports about .NET Core - one about using with NodeJS, the second about supporting .NET Core in Visual Studio 2017.
Andrey Belenko works at Microsoft as Senior Program Manager. Works with mobile platforms and security. A report from the Microsoft representative on the security of mobile applications with an emphasis on iOS was warmly received by the audience. :) The available mechanisms for protecting data in iOS, anti-patterns when using them, common problems and ways to avoid them were considered. Must see for developers :)
→ View slides and video about mobile application security Alexander Belotserkovsky , the author of this article, works at Microsoft in Russia as a technology evangelist. Develops on .NET, works with Microsoft Azure with almost its launch and loves people. This time he told about his pet project, which helped his American colleagues to develop as a community project.
Sergey Zvyagin , lead developer at DevExpress. Fronttender with past backender. He loves virtual reality, and popularizes it in Russia, and is also a hub that distributes official DevExpress gingerbread. In the report, Sergey talked about various VR / AR devices, different projects were successful, and not very successful ones that remained a beautiful idea. Hololens were demonstrated, recommendations were given.
Don Vibier , another colleague from DevExpress, a technology evangelist from Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. Hardcore developer and great companion - I hope that he will come to CodeFest again next year.
Meth Atamel , Developer Advocate in Google. It's nice to see that colleagues from the industry talk about how to build solutions on our platforms on their platforms. I strongly recommend to look interested in ASP.NET Core containerization on Kubernetes.
As far as I can tell, these are all reports from us and not from us, revealing Microsoft technologies. I want to say that thanks to the excellent work of the CodeFest team, almost all the reports were excellent, and the effect of the demonstration, judging by my observations, was somehow minimized. :)
