We invite you to the official workshop on UE4 from Epic Games

On Tuesday, June 13, in St. Petersburg, the ITMO University will host a master class on game development on the Unreal Engine 4, where Epic Games evangelist Shyord de Jong will act as an expert. Visitors to the event will be offered a choice of one of two topics that Schjord has prepared for the presentation. In the hall Shyord will be assisted by experienced developers at UE4.

About expert

Behind Schjord almost twenty years of experience in the gaming industry. He started with level design, but eventually he moved to many areas of game development, such as game design, rendering, scripting. Sjord specializes exclusively in the Unreal Engine game engine, with which he has been working since 1999 and has very extensive knowledge of this technology. He worked with all four generations of the engine and on seven AAA projects launched on it, including the Unreal Tournament, WarPath, Rekoil, Huxley games. Schjord is the author of two books on game development, conducts lectures and workshops at universities around the world, and also runs his own development studio - Teotl Studios, which last year released the successful Survival Horror - The Solus Project.

Event details:

The master class is held by ITMO University in the framework of the launch and development of the ITMO.GameDev direction, together with Epic Games and the official developer community of Unreal Engine 4. This will be the second such event in St. Petersburg. Recall that on April 8 in St. Petersburg, the first official UE4 developers ’mit meeting took place with the participation of Sperasoft , Epic Games and the official UE4 developers community, which gathered more than 120 people in one place.

Beginning at 15:30. The entrance is free. The session duration is 4 hours, the language is English. If you wish, you can bring a laptop with you. The preferred version of the engine is 4.16 (or 4.15 with the RenderDoc plugin installed ).
