BI.ZONE Announces CTFzone Presidential Election

The last year can rightly be called the “election year”. Everywhere there is commotion and noise, passions have not abated for months. The turn of the CTFzone has arrived !

BI.ZONE announces CTFzone presidential election. Elections will be as free and independent as possible - no parties or stars in the political arena, only you and your candidate. Teams are invited to play the role of the election headquarters and help their candidate to win.

The first online election stage, the Primaries , starts on 07/15/2017 at 09:00 UTC and lasts 36 hours. Format - Jeopardy, 5 categories. Only 10 candidates will pass to the next stage.

The second stage of the competition, the Presidential Election , will be held in full-time format on November 16-17 at the ZERONIGHTS 2017 conference.

The struggle of the 10 election headquarters teams at this stage will be much more aggressive - the Attack / Defense format assumes the defense of the server of its headquarters and the attack of the servers of the election headquarters of the rivals. A hard battle is fully justified - the winning team will not only be able to announce its candidate as President of the CTFzone, but will also receive $ 10,000. Teams that took 2nd and 3rd place will receive $ 5000 and $ 3000, respectively.

Presidential elections are extremely important for the CTFzone, so our company will cover living expenses and the road for the teams that entered the second round (it’s important that the team should not exceed 5 people). Due to the significance of the event, we ask the teams to abide by the rules - they can be disqualified for violations. Strictly prohibited:

- Attack the infrastructure of the organizers;
- Generate a large amount of traffic (DDoS);
- To conduct attacks on the computers of the jury;
- Share flags with other members.

UPD: In connection with the holding of several large CTFs on June 24-25, many teams were confronted with the need to select a priority competition. In order to save the players from this trouble, we decided to postpone the first stage of the CTFzone to July 15.07.2017 . Registration is open until the beginning of the battle, the rules remain the same. Now you do not have to choose, you can safely participate everywhere;)
