The company Research In Motion during the congress 3GSM announced the release of the BlackBerry 8800 communicator with a built-in receiver of the global satellite navigation system GPS.
The novelty today is one of the thinnest BlackBerry smartphones: the thickness of the device is only 14 millimeters. The BlackBerry 8800 model is equipped with a display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, 64 MB of internal flash memory and a slot for removable microSD cards.
The novelty is capable of playing MP3, MIDI, AAC audio files and MPEG-4 and H.263 video clips. Among other things, we can mention the speakerphone, the controller Bluetooth 2.0 and a keyboard with a standard layout. The communicator is designed to work in GSM / GPRS / EDGE cellular networks.
