Texas Instruments demonstrates OMAP3430 mobile processor

One of the largest manufacturers of processors for mobile technology, Texas Instruments has demonstrated the OMAP3430 multimedia processor. It is intended for installation, both in mobile phones and in smartphones, communicators and PDAs. The processor hardware supports the acceleration of three-dimensional graphics OpenGL ES 2.0. The power of the novelty is enough to process video in the format up to HD 720p (resolution 1280x720 pixels). While this resolution is not available for mobile device screens, it can therefore be output via the TV-out to the big screen. According to manufacturers' forecasts, the first devices based on TI OMAP3430 processors will appear no earlier than 2008.
