• HYBRID VM - Dmitry Stogov announced an improved strategy for dispatching instructions. Optimization shows a performance gain of 50% on synthetic tests with intensive use of CPU, and 3-7% on real-world applications. The improvement is in the master branch, which means it is already expected in PHP 7.2.
