Hackathon BlockchainLaB, May 26-27

Blockchain is one of the most revolutionary technologies since the advent of the Internet. Many people mistakenly believe that it is designed exclusively for the financial sector, but the real scope is striking in its scale.

May 26-27, Luxoft organizes the first hackathon in St. Petersburg dedicated to decentralized platforms - BlockchainLAB. Our task is to show the whole grandeur of the blockchain idea and build a technological future together with the participants!

During the hackathon, you will have 24 hours to generate and coordinate an idea, develop an architectural design, do planning and, based on theory, build the application from scratch. The format assumes the use of two key blockchain solutions: Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum. However, if you have preferences in other platforms (Sawtooth Lake, Corda and others), then we will be happy to provide our support.

The goal of BlockchainLAB is to attract specialists to the topic of decentralized platforms, to provide an opportunity to move from theory to practice and form a local community of enthusiasts interested in blockchain.

As part of BlockchainLAB, we have prepared a series of workshops that will help you to dive deeper into the blockchain topic and learn from scratch the practical skills of working with this technology.

On May 26-27, you have a real opportunity to get into the community of experts on decentralized technologies and cryptography to share experiences, ideas and opinions.

So, once again briefly about the event:

Hackathon BlockchainLAB - May 26-27;
• To complete the task - 24 hours;
• Team members - 3-5 participants;
• Technology stack: Go, Java, NodeJS, AngularJS, Solidity, Blockchain;
• Lecture on blockchain technology basics: “The important bits”, James Bowkett;
• Lectures on Hyperledger Fabric architecture from the creators.

If you do not have a command or the skillset does not match the profile above - this is not a problem. We will help to assemble a team, provide training examples and organize a support channel.
