Continuation of the experiment: passers-by draw famous logos from memory

The first part of the experiment was liked by many — it gathered a lot of advantages and got into the best — so we went outside again and asked passers-by to draw famous logos from memory. Of course, not everyone can draw, but it doesn’t matter - it’s interesting to see which details and features of the images people remember and which parts don’t. This time we remember Starbucks, Peugeot, Lada, Kiwi and Yota - until we open the post, you can check yourself.



Starbucks


The face of the mermaid in the circle remembered everything (well, almost):

Peugeot


Only one of the six respondents remembered that the lion does not look from left to right, as it seems more familiar, but vice versa. The same situation was with Playboy's rabbit in the past experiment . We are accustomed to perceive the movement from left to right, but the Peugeot lion has heraldic roots - animals are often depicted face left so that they look towards the enemy on the shield.




Lada


For most, Lada is associated with an oval, some quite accurately remembered the rook:




Qiwi


Despite the fact that the terminals are located on every corner and the brand has a simple metaphor - the letter Q with the kiwi bird looking out of it - no one remembered the logo:



Maybe it's time to rebrand?



Yota


For most, Yota is some kind of letter Y. Some people remembered the features, but no one drew a little man standing on his head:



Yote should fight with Yandex and secure the letter Y?

Of course, this is not a serious experiment, but it shows how images and details of logos are stored in memory.
