MTS and Ericsson are testing 5G in motion at Spartak Stadium - ONLINE Broadcast

MTS and Ericsson are testing 5G at the Otkrytie Arena stadium in Moscow. During the test, a base station operating in the range of 14.5-15.3 GHz transmits a signal to a moving smartphone prototype at a record speed.

During the tests, four innovative technologies are used:

• Multi-User and Massive MIMO with an array of transmit-receive antennas and the ability to simultaneously serve several subscribers in the same sector of a cell in the same frequency band significantly increase data transfer speed and frequency resource utilization efficiency.
')
• Beam Tracking provides a stable connection of user devices and the best throughput when moving them.

• Dynamic TDD improves the speed of data transmission and the efficiency of resource utilization of a wireless network by dynamically reallocating bandwidth when transmitting traffic in downlink and uplink channels.
