Hackers found the “processing key” for HDDVD and Blue-Ray.

As you know, guys from the Doom9 forum do not like some DRM systems. Less than two months after the discovery of "disk keys" (volume keys) that can be used to decrypt AACS DRM from individual films, the arnezami hacker found a "processing key" that allows you to decrypt DRM protection on any HDDVD and Blue-Ray drives.

Unlike the “disk keys” for each individual high definition film, these keys are suitable for all movies and can be used to unlock, decrypt and save any of the already released HDDVD or Blue-Ray discs. arnezami noted:

In fact, there was no hacking or reverse engineering. We just carefully examined what changes in the memory used by the player and voila ... found the “processing key”.

After the BackupHDDVD and BackupBluray utilities were uploaded using this hack, the number of high-definition movies in the torrent increased dramatically.
