Going on Sync.NET # 4, friends! Traditionally, in the program of the event there are cool reports and not less cool speakers, excellent coffee and no less tasty sweets, meeting old and new acquaintances, a friendly photographer, friendly barista and many, many interesting things.
Briefly about the speakers and reports - under the cut.
Ekaterina Kashchenko, “Progressive web applications and their capabilities in the modern web”
- Can web applications replace native ones?
- What to do when there is no access to the network on the device?
- Is it possible and how to work with the system API?
We will also talk about the simplicity of creating progressive web applications from the SPA, about the Service Worker - data caching technologies, strategies and, of course, pwa testing.

Nazariy Taran, “Exploring Roslyn”
The .NET Compiler Platform, also known as Roslyn, is an open source compiler for C # and VB, written in the same languages. This opens up great opportunities for both everyday development and for those who like to “dig deeper" in the compiler mechanism and write their own solution for the code analyzer. Not every platform can boast of similar, and this makes Roslyn unique in its kind.
We will discuss these topics:
- what Roslyn is, what key concepts it is based on, what data structures it uses;
- how Roslyn and Visual Studio make our work better and more productive;
- C # scripting
- Visual Studio plugins and your own code analyzer using the Visual Studio SDK and Roslyn as an example application.
Ivan Lomakov, Physiology MS SQL Server. We prepare and study the table »
Usually, developers are not keen to understand the principles of the internal structure of databases. Studying all the possibilities of a particular database seems to be a burdensome action. And if the only problem we face is a decrease in performance, then we can say that we are very lucky. For a number of projects this threatens to invent their own “bicycle”, which leads to complication of architecture, extra hours of development, long fixes of bugs and complicated testing. But even a superficial study of all the capabilities of databases can give us many interesting discoveries!
We are all used to the fact that in SQL-databases there are only the usual "classic" tables, but this is not so. Even the SQL standard tells us the opposite. In addition, each individual product may offer some of its special "table". For example, in MS SQL Server there are 5 types of tables.
We will consider the following questions:
- why MS SQL Server has so many kinds of tables;
- how they can be useful from a developer’s point of view.
We are always with both hands for live communication, and after the reports, our speakers will be happy to answer all your questions.
